Dr Margot Bosanquet
Researcher biography
Dr Bosanquet is a QLD educated and trained Paediatrician and Rehabilitation Specialist who brings extensive clinical experience and expertise in caring for children 0 - 18 years with issues within general paediatrics, developmental and behavioural conditions, and paediatric rehabilitation. Dr Bosanquet is experienced in diagnosing and caring for children with chronic complex medical issues, functional impairment, learning disorders, as well as more common developmental conditions such as autism and ADHD. She considers care with a holistic approach and has focus on inclusion and quality of life.
Dr Bosanquet completed her medical training at the University of Queensland in 2002. She completed her paediatric training at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane (early 2011), and was awarded a Royal Children Hospital Foundation Clinical Research Fellowship Grant in the field of cerebral palsy. While further embarking on additional training in paediatric rehabilitation, Dr Bosanquet concurrently worked as a paediatrician at the Royal Children’s Hospital, The Prince Charles Hospital and private practice before relocating to Townsville in 2014.
Dr Bosanquet holds a Senior Staff Specialist position at the Townsville University Hospital, and academic appointment with UQ and JCU. She has active research interests in cerebral palsy and early recognition of developmental conditions. She is a member of the Chapter of Community Child Health, and is also a current national examiner for the Australian College of Physicians (Paediatrics)
